Is Submission of Expression of Interest the First Step for Parent Visa Application in NZ?

If you are planning to visit your adult children settled in New Zealand, then it is possible by applying for a parent visa NZ. After the successful approval of this visa, it will become easy to enter the border of New Zealand and live with your children.

But before that, there are certain procedures to follow among which EOI submission is vital. It is the first step in the process. As it is a time-consuming process, it is advisable to start with the same at the earliest and plan well ahead.

If your EOI is selected, then further processing will seem easy.

What is EOI?

EOI is an abbreviated form for Expression of Interest. It is the first stage of the processing of the parent visa NZ. Here, you need to specify the way you have successfully met the need of getting sponsored by your child.

The sponsorship may be carried out by your child and partner too. The sponsors must meet the specific wage requirement to sponsor their parents. They need to earn at least 1.5 times the median wage to sponsor their parents.

Once the EOI gets approval, you will be invited to the final stage. It is all about getting invited to apply for residence. Legal guardians and grandparents are also eligible to apply for residence under this specific category of visa. Parents having dependent children in NZ will not be eligible to apply for a parent visa.

Do Employers in New Zealand Need Accreditation Employ Talents?

Businesses in New Zealand sometimes need skilled workers from overseas. Then employer accreditation makes them eligible for recruiting suitable workers. The eligibility criteria include the following:

  • Having sufficient finance
  • Appreciable HR and workplace practices
  • Having a commitment to training and employing New Zealanders

The accreditation will let for the easy saving of expenses that incur during the recruitment process. Mitigating the risk of not having selected the right candidate for the business becomes easy to stand.
